Happy Monday, everyone!! I am SO excited to let the cat officially out of the bag today and let you all know that we were PUBLISHED in the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine! { pinch me! }
Yes, the Spring 2013 issue features one of our beautiful weddings on its pages… and it happens to be the wedding of my baby sister, Anna! My love & splendor clients and colleagues all know and adore Anna, as she has been an assistant coordinator for me since the very beginnings of the company. Anna was married to my wonderful brother-in-law, Sean, last June, and it has been sooooo hard to keep this gorgeous wedding under wraps for so long. But, we knew this stunning wedding was destined to be shared somewhere special. It is a true honor (and honestly, one of my proudest biz moments ever!) to see this wedding on the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings — it is a dream come true. The fact that the wedding is my sister’s takes it over the top because the event held so much personal meaning to our family. I will never ever forget that day… It was filled with so much beauty and love and emotion. I kept looking over at Anna throughout the evening and her expressions were filled with so much pure joy. Designing this day for her and Sean was a true labor of love and I hope it shows!

When we found out that the wedding would be featured in the magazine, I nearly keeled over! I have been counting down to this date for months! Okay so I’m already thrilled, I am pushed to the limits of my excitement, and then imagine when I found out that a photo of my precious family was included in the magazine as well! Yes, a photo of me, Erik, and a 3-month old baby Olive are featured in the magazine, too!! AHH!
I cannot tell you how much my heart is exploding. It’s a business-personal-family-press milestone all wrapped into one big ball of joy and now I want to celebrate with YOU!

My favorite thing about spring are the fresh organic berries in season! I was at the market the other day and cannot tell you how excited I was to spot my beloved fresh raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries! 🙂
I love how the Farmer’s Market changes! The new flowers, the fruit, the tasty veggies! Yum! And that was way more than just one thing…
My favorite thing about spring is that there’s more sunlight each day. We have more time to enjoy the outdoors 🙂

One of my favorite things about spring is having a picnic. We do this a lot, even if its just in our front yard. When the weather is perfect- not too hot, not too cold- why would we eat inside? 🙂
congratulations!!! such exciting news! since moving to the east coast from california a few years ago, spring has become my favorite season! not only do all the beautiful flowers start blooming, but spring also allow me to bust out my cali sandals, which means an excuse for pedis!

My favorite thing about spring are the flowers! Plum blossoms and cherry blossoms are blooming around the Bay Area now. Their beauty is fleeting and so short-lives, so it really forces you to enjoy them while they’re around!

How exciting, congrats! My favorite thing about spring is just being outside more, the weather is perfect, the food options are lighter and most importantly baseball is back!

congrats! my favorite thing about spring is the longer days! i’m a SAHM now, but when i was working, driving home in the dark was always so depressing. my mood instantly changed when i got to drive back home and it was still light outside. also, my neighborhood has Monday food truck night, but since it’s outside, it wasn’t as fun to go when it was cold and dark out. my husband and i can’t wait to start going weekly again!

Since moving to Santa Barbara in 2010, I enjoy the simple pleasures of spring. The sights, sounds, and smells of spring in Santa Barbara/Central Coast are fantastic. I love the overwhelming scent of blossoming spring flowers (jasmine, sweet pea, freesia, and citrus blossoms) that are heavy in the air. The smell lingers in the air and is so intoxicating. The sights of the green hills as Daniel and I drive to and from work every day are calling to me. I hope to one day leave my desk job and find my pot of gold! The true sign of spring though is the blooming of California poppies, lupine, and mustard weed that beckon you to run through the center median on the 101 North. JK! OK, this is not one thing, but my favorite season is spring and I love living in the beautiful Central Coast. I am truly blessed.
Congratulations! Your blog is inspiration and eye candy for me. I love the first hints of spring when my peach trees start budding and I start dreaming of my summer peaches. And I love shopping for sandals for my three girls as soon as spring arrives!

Oh – and I was a senior pastor’s wife for 20 years! We have a ministry to the orphan now.
Anyway, my favorite thing about Spring? Hmmm, I love the sounds of the birds and the windows being open…but probably my most favorite thing? That summer is almost here! I LOVE summer.
