Hello and welcome! I’m Angel and I’m so happy you’re here!  This blog chronicles my life as a wife, mother and event planner & designer on the beautiful California coast.  I share everyday inspirations, musings on motherhood, my wedding design work and glimpses of daily life.  It’s an eclectic mix of all the beautiful things in my world!

A bit about me:

I am a Christian — a follower of Christ — and I attribute every blessing in my life to Him.  He is my hope, my strength, my closest friend.  I hope He is evident in everything I do.

I am a law school (full-scholarship recipient) drop-out.  Leaving behind something I wasn’t truly passionate about was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I married my college sweetheart, Erik, just a few months after we graduated from UC Berkeley.  He’s an electrical engineer / computer scientist turned Pastor, so you could say we both had major career changes.  Erik is handsome, hard-working, brilliant, and good at everything.  Seriously.

I have been planning and designing weddings since late 2005 and am grateful for the opportunity to do something that fuels my creativity.  I have worked alongside more than 200 couples and am still inspired daily by the work that I do.

In 2012, I became a mother with the birth of our daughter, Olivia Iris (aka Olive).  She turned our lives upside down in the best way possible.  In 2015, we welcomed our son, Noah, through the miracle of adoption.  Motherhood is a cherished and privileged calling for me, especially having walked through the trials of infertility and recurrent miscarriage.  I thank God every single day for the two beautiful little ones He has entrusted to my care.

I love the sound and scent of the sea, Friday nights at the drive-in, cooking for friends, planning and taking vacations and savoring my daily cup of coffee.  Oh, and ice cream.  Ice cream is my favorite.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or are a longtime reader, I hope you find something that inspires you here today.

Thank you for stopping by and reading; I am grateful for you!
